App for Calculating the Gas Content Liquid Level in a Fire Extinguisher
Link Instruments Limited are pleased to announce we have developed an App for Calculating the Gas Content Liquid Level in a Fire Extinguisher.
The App is designed to assist Field Service Technicians to Calculating the Liquid Level of the Extinguishers content, before making measurements of the gas/liquid levels on the cylinders with level checking devise.
The App can be used on your laptops, mobile phones or tablet, and can be used offline when saved like any other application:
The App will work with iPhone or an iPad, or any Android devise
- The App uses the SG factors from the Link Instruments ULLC2001 instruction manual, and also includes SG Factors for Calculating the Level of CO2.
- These are based on our experience of testing for the Calibration Checks of the ULLC2001 on a known weight CO2 cylinder and tests using strip sensor and other thermal devices.
- Our experience indicates an accurate calculation factor
15deg C 1.0
20deg C is 0.9
25deg C (which is normally the limit for testing CO2) 0.8 - Normally the level is identified within 5 to10% of calculations using these factors which we hope are of assistance.
- Normally CO2 cylinder are 2/3 full with adjustments required for temperature and your instruments instructions.
- However, using the above Factors an approximate level can be calculated, this is useful if a 35kg Fill cylinder has been filled with 45kg or where the larger cylinder has a tropical lower volume fill.
- We can also add other liquid Gases to this App and welcome industry feedback.

- On an iPhone or an iPad, run the shared app you are interested in through the Safari web browser, press the share button and then select Add to Home Screen
- On Android, run the shared app through the Chrome browser and select Add to Home screen from the menu
